A sacred herbal offering for love, nourishment, and creation.
The Dark Crone Blend helps attune your energy to Womb Gate 3 – The Crone, guiding you to rest in the deep depths of the womb cave.
This blend of herbs helps connect you with the waning lunar cycle and the depths of the dark moon.
Each herb has been chosen for her protective, boundaried spirit and deep wisdom:
Dark red rose petals (Rosa damascena) – In a Dark Crone blend, rose is not here for sweetness. She is the velvet in the shadow, the blood rose that opens slowly in candlelight. Dark red petals bring heart medicine into the deeper chambers of the womb, softening what has armoured, and reminding the body that tenderness can exist alongside power. Rose carries a devotional current that feels ancient and intimate, like the priestess returning to her altar. She helps you stay present with longing, grief, desire, and truth without rushing to fix or flee. This is love with bones in it. Quiet, sovereign, and real.
Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) – Motherwort is the Crone Mother. Not sentimental, not soft for softness’ sake, but unwavering in her care. In a dark womb blend, she steadies the heart while you descend. She holds you when old stories rise. She keeps you anchored when you are meeting edges, endings, and the inner winter. Motherwort offers that fierce kind of comfort that says, stay with yourself. Breathe. You can feel this and remain whole. She supports the return to centre, helping you hold your boundaries while your heart stays open enough to listen.
Elderberry (Sambucus nigra frustus) – adds a subtle, earthy fruit note and a dark botanical richness. Offering quiet protection and boundary holding, bringing ancestral depth and a rooted stillness that resonates with Crone season, winter wisdom, and dark moon work.
Stinging nettle leaf (Utica diocia folia) – Stinging nettle leaf brings a bright, clean strength to a yoni steam blend. It carries the feeling of boundary and resilience, like green fire in the bloodstream, helping you come back into your own edges when you feel scattered or overextended. In a ritual context, nettle can be worked with as an ally for clarity, courage, and grounded vitality, supporting the body to remember its natural steadiness. Stinging nettle leaf offers quiet fortitude and protection, bringing a clear, bracing green energy that wakes the senses and supports a rooted return to your own boundaries and inner authority.
The recipe has been lovingly crafted by our Womb Priestess Herbalist Minnie Mulvey in the Sanctuary of Sophia, as featured in Angie’s book The Shamanic Way of the Womb Each blend is prepared in ceremony with intention, honouring the sacred spirit of the herbs and the wisdom of the womb.
How to Use:
Prepare a bowl with freshly boiled water and add one to two tablespoons of herbs. In the 30g pack there is enough for 3-5 separate steams – less is more with herbs!
Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes. When the steam feels comfortably warm, sit or kneel over the bowl, wrapped in a towel or blanket to hold the warmth.
Breathe deeply and allow the steam to rise and soften the womb space for 15–20 minutes.
